Spring Garden Preschool and Nursery exists as one of the ministries of State Street United Methodist Church. We focus upon providing a Christian environment, creativity, socialization, and self-esteem. We have an open door policy that enables you to contact the church staff and the preschool staff at any time.
Spring Garden has been in operation since 1985 and prides itself with a loving, nurturing ministry. Preschool hours are from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with extended hours available from 7:45 AM through 3:30 PM. The facility is a safe place to leave your children and there is a well-trained staff who enjoys working with children. Children from the age of six weeks to five years are accepted.
Spring Garden Preschool staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid training and exceed the required hours of continuing education each year. Thorough background checks are conducted on all employees of the preschool.
The preschool curriculum offers developmentally, age appropriate, creative guidelines that are followed in each classroom. Children move quickly from one activity to another to encourage stimulation and learning. Summer class schedules involve more outdoor playtime.
Inclement Weather: Should there be significant snow or ice, all activities at the church, including Spring Garden Preschool, will be cancelled if the Bristol, VA school system has decided to close due to weather. If the school system is on a delay, the Preschool will open at 10:00 AM. Please monitor WCYB (Channel 5) for closings and delays.
