Does God talk to people today like he did to Moses?

God spoke to prophets in the Old Testament. Prophets were like God's special messengers. They brought God's message to the people. They heard God's voice in many different ways such as dreams, in visions and through miracles. Moses saw and heard God in the burning bush! But God kept on talking to Moses when he returned to Egypt and when he led the Hebrews into the desert.

God still talks to people today, although most of the time we don't see a miraculous burning bush like Moses did! Now wouldn't that be something! Some of the ways God speaks to us are:

• In our thoughts, especially when we are having a quiet time and praying
• When we read and study our Bibles
• When we are singing or worshiping
• When we look around at the beauty of God's creation
• When we have special dreams
• When we are baptized
• When we have communion
• When we hear that "still small voice inside us" that helps us know what to do
